What do you associate with the word “GLOWING“? I think of the words radiance, big smiles, youth, fresh, healthy, and happiness. When someone tells me I’m glowing, I take it as the BIGGEST compliment. Whether you’re dry or oily, I think we can all agree that we want to look younger, happier, healthier, AND more radiant! I’m a summertime makeup lover because I low-key love what a little heat can do to our skin, and I also love the “less is more” look the summertime brings. None of us want to cake on a thick, matte foundation to sweat in! With that said, today I’m sharing My 5 Favorite Makeup Products for the PERFECT Summer Glow! These are my go-to products to make my skin look as fresh and healthy as possible and what I use to achieve a sun-kissed and glowy complexion all summer long!
Before I get started, let me say that I do have dry skin, but it’s not been that way forever! In my younger years my face was an oily mess, and I remember using as many products as possible to soak up those oils and dry out my skin. WHAT WAS I THINKING? Now I’d give anything to go back to the days when my skin produced its own oils! If you’re one of those oily girls, I challenge you to start adding some of these products into your routine. Sometimes when you utilize oils, it prevents your face from feeling like it has to overcompensate and produce more oils!
Oh, and one more thing. I am a HUGE advocate for SKINCARE > MAKEUP. There’s only so much that makeup can do for your complexion. Your SKIN needs to be prepped and ready to GLOW, and that starts from the ground up! I mentioned this in my FAVORITE PRODUCTS OF 2019 post, and it’s still one of my favorite purchases of all time. I was terrified to use it at first because I thought it would turn my face into an absolute oil slick. WRONG! If you want the FRESHEST and most YOUTHFUL looking skin, this will be your best friend. I always use it in one of two ways: 1) apply it all over my face as a primer prior to applying foundation or 2) drop a couple of drops in with my foundation. I let my mom use it for a week, and she went to the store THE SAME DAY she gave it back to me because she said she couldn’t go a single day without it. It’s that good, y’all!

Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick
Alright, dare I say it, this is my FAVORITE foundation of all time. I know a stick foundation may seem intimidating since we’ve grown up using liquid or powder foundations. But please if you take ANYTHING from this entire post, let it be this: stick foundations are INCREDIBLE and have the most beautiful finish of any foundation I’ve ever tried! This one has the best coverage too – not too thick/heavy, but enough to cover up what you need to cover up! It’s easy to apply, it blends like a dream, and it’s the perfect mix of matte and glow! I use the shade Beige in the summer, for reference.
Milk Makeup
This primer is the most PERFECT product for every skin type. Dry? This is for you. Oily? This is also for you. The name of it is so spot on – it makes your skin look like it drank a glass of water, but it also prolongs the wear of your makeup ALL DAY LONG. It grips to your skin, and your makeup WILL NOT budge. I can see a huge difference at the end of the day when I use this as a primer. + The best part is that it doesn’t make you look wet or too dewy – just hydrated and healthy! The perfect product for the summer heat!

Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter – Champagne Pop
There are SO many great highlighters out there, and I’ve tried MANY of them over the years. I tend to like different shades of highlighter in different seasons, and THIS ONE is my go-to for the summer months. It has the most beautiful peachy color, and the formula is made to get you that BEAMING highlight. It’s buttery-soft and glides onto your skin seamlessly. I apply it to the high points of my face – my cheekbones, my chin, the bridge of my nose, my cupid’s bow, and in between my eyebrows! Prepare to blind the world when you put this on, y’all. It. Is. A. Beaut.

Last but CERTAINLY not least, we have my summer glow STAPLE. You guys, not to be corny but this product is PURE GOLD. This stuff will hydrate, refresh, AND illuminate your skin. It also smells HEAVENLY and the mist feels luxurious when you apply it, so that’s always a plus. I’ve tried an endless amount of setting sprays, and this one is my frontrunner by a long shot. It is GLOWING, SUMMER SKIN in a bottle. I’m on my third bottle, and I have every intention of repurchasing it for many years to come.
