Spring is HERE and summer is right around the corner, so I thought now would be the perfect time to talk about a seasonal closet staple: DENIM SHORTS! Finding the “perfect pair” of jean shorts can be a full-blown task… We don’t want them too tight, but we don’t want them too loose either. We don’t want them too short (camel-toe alert!), but we don’t want them too long either (bermuda shorts alert!). The COLOR of denim is also a big factor for me when I purchase jean shorts. So with that said, today I’m sharing The BEST Denim Shorts I Own, and hopefully this can serve as a guide for the next time you’re in need of a new pair of pretty jorts. 😉
1. Target High-Rise Frayed Hem Jean Shorts
I feel like a broken record with these, but for good reason y’all! You CANNOT beat a pair of good-quality (and stupid cute) denim shorts for only $15!!! If you haven’t hopped on the bandwagon, YOU’RE MISSING OUT! I would say they run TTS, but my only complaint is that they have some extra fabric in the crotch area. 2. Southern Shirt Not Your Mama’s Denim Shorts
Prepare yourself, because this is the most comfortable you will ever feel in a pair of denim shorts. They’re the most LIVEABLE shorts I’ve ever owned and a perfect mix between cute and comfy. I love how they can be styled up – like I did in the photo – or styled down with a t-shirt! I mean, who DOESN’T want their denim shorts to have an elastic waistband? If you’re in-between sizes I suggest sizing down! || Wearing size Small

3. Abercrombie High Rise Mom Shorts
This is my most recent purchase of denim shorts, and I. Cannot. Get. Enough. I originally thought the Target shorts I listed above were a good dupe for my Agolde shorts (shown below) until I bought these. They fit so well, they’re a little bit stretchy, and they come in several colors (I’m wearing “Light Ripped Wash”)! This pair is on the shorter side, but they also come in a 4″ version (linked below) that I already have in my cart! SO GOOD, Y’ALL! || Wearing size 26R

4. Agolde Parker Vintage Cut-Off Shorts
This is the most I’ve ever spent on a pair of denim shorts (or shorts in general for that matter). But you guys, they are gold. I love that they’re considered to be more of a relaxed-fit so that I’m not constantly tugging at them. They’re high-waisted, the color is PERFECT, and the distressing makes them look a little edgy without being over-the-top. To top it all off, the quality is UH-mazing. I know they’ll last (and be one of my favorites) for many years to come. I’d recommend sizing down 1 size in these. I’m usually a 26 and ended up purchasing a size 24. Now I wish I would have gotten the 25s! || Wearing size 24
